Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology

Mohandas College of Engineering & Technology (MCET) was established in 2002 in a simple campus with a picturesque surrounding in the village area Anad of the Arabian Sea bounded Thiruvananthapuram district in the God's Own Country Kerala.

Sri.G Mohandas as the Chairman, Smt Rani Mohandas as the Secretary and Dr.Ashalatha Thampuran as the Director, MCET has now transpired into an ISO 9001:2008 certified prestigious technical institution of the State offering Post Graduate Programs under EEE, ECE, CSE and MCA Departments and Graduate Programs in Bio-Technology and Bio Chemical Engineering , Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering approved by AICTE and affiliated to the University of Kerala.

The Institution promotes value added education and champions learning by providing a variety of instructional settings where students and faculty can share and create new knowledge in Science and Technology. MCET facilitates "MIssion Committed to Excellence in Technology".

Colloquium '17 : National-level Technical Festival

We are back with it's annual Technical Festival the Colloquium.Colloquium'17 will be conducted on 7th 8th of April,2017 .The aim of Colloquium is to identify and encourage creative talents of budding Engineers and technologists throughout the country.

This two day national level technical symposium conducted every year for the undergraduate students of Biotechnology, Computer Science, Information Technology ,Civil Engineering ,Electrical and Electronics,Electronics & Communication and Mechanical Engineering and MCA provides a platform for the students of the engineering fraternity for exchange of their ideas and information to keep abreast of the current developments. The overall objective of this mega event is to bring together the expertise and showcase the talents of the students in various disciplines. Technical paper presentations for all the above disciplines are conducted in parallel sessions. Other competitions like Hardware debugging, Technical Quiz, Software Debugging, Network Games, Project Contest, Business Idea Presentation, Poster Presentation, Web Design, Engineering Problems, Line Follower (Robots), Documentary Competition,Engineering Drawing,etc to evaluate the general talents of the students are conducted in connection with this two-day programme. Students from leading technical educational institutions and Universities covering a wide geographical designation across the country participate in this programme.

Colloquium'17 offers a cash prizes worth 2.3 lakhs in total.Apart from technical contest, cultural programmes have also been organized. We expect enthusiastic participation from Engineering students all over the country to make this event a grand success.

General Instructions

  • Participants can remit the fee as DD in favour of Director, MCET payable at CanaraBank,Anad
  • Internal participants must register online. Spot registration will not be availble for MCET students.
  • Spot registration for external particpants will be available for all event except Ashwamedha and ACME
  • College identity card must be produced at the time of registration.
  • Accommodation will be provided to outside participants on demand.However this facility is provided only on first come first serve basis and no claims with this regard shall be entertained.
  • Any type of damage to the institute property in any form or any other indiscipline in the institute is not tolerable and strict disciplinary action will be initiated against the defaulter(s) as per the rules of the institute.
  • Decisions of the judges shall be final and binding in all events.
  • Participants must have their Colloquium Id card with them at all venues for participation.
  • In case of any malpractice in any event, coordinators reserve the right to disqualify any individual or team.
